The 63rd Goa liberation day was celebrated by the primary school of Our Lady of the Rosary high school.
The Chief guest for the function was the mother of the primary school head girl, Mrs Rebecca Fernandes.
The function began with the unveiling of the national flag by the chief guest.
Teacher Paula Godinho welcomed the gathering.The Headmistress of the school Sr Antoneita Colaco welcomed the chief guest by offering her a potted plant.
The chief guest was introduced by the primary head girl Miss Lizanne Fernandes.
Trisha Shetkar of standard 4 spoke and enlightened the gathering on the importance of the day.
This was followed by a Mando, performed by the primary students.The colourful costumes and the mind blowing music made the singing awesome.
SCERT, has started a reading campaign “Goa is Reading”. Our school went one step ahead to make reading videos where students read books in English and Konkani. Each month two videos will be released.
The first video was released on the 19th of December.
Standard 3 student, Miss Niyati Parab recited a poem in Konkani.
It was followed by the inspiring speech of the Chief guest.
Miss Christabelle Fernandes the assistant head girl, proposed the vote of thanks.
